Routine maintenance of industrial robots mainly includes daily or shift-based quick checks, cleaning, and basic function verification. This aims to promptly identify potential problems and ensure the safe and stable operation of the equipment.

Implement energy isolation: Before operation, always disconnect the robot's main power supply and the control cabinet power supply, and hang warning signs according to the "Lock-and-Tag" (LOTO) procedure to prevent accidental start-up.

Properly protect yourself: Operators must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), such as safety helmets, safety glasses, and protective gloves.

Clean the work environment: Ensure the robot's working area is clean, free of oil, water, or debris, providing a safe space for maintenance operations.

In-operation status monitoring

Observe the motor current, joint temperature, and system load rate displayed on the teach pendant for any abnormalities (e.g., a temperature rise exceeding +40°C warrants attention). Listen for any unusual noises such as "whistling" or "humming" during operation; if any abnormalities are found, immediately stop the machine and investigate.

Basic maintenance after shutdown

Wipe the robot's surface for dust and oil with a damp cloth. Avoid using strong solvents such as acetone.

Check the brakes on each axis: Run the robot to its maximum load position → turn off the power → observe whether it remains stationary to prevent slippage due to brake failure.
